TEDU is a digital educational game built on Triviador, the popular online trivia and strategy game. It is targeting kids aged 10-18 and their teachers. The major sales channels of TEDU are schools for group subscriptions and online stores for individual subscriptions. So, it is a mobile game (app) and a school tool simultaneously. The kids play it on their smartphones, while the teachers can manage the game with a web app (so, from a browser on any device). Triviador has a fantasy/medieval style overall look (triviador.com). However, TEDU is an EdTech product that offers a hi-tech solution for analog school issues.

The name TEDU comes from TriviadorEDU (which proved to be too long to remember), so the letters of EDU cannot be separated.

Our task was to design a brand which meets the following requirements:

  • Simple, easy to remember
  • Connects with the product
  • Appealing to the target group
  • Somehow evokes both the medieval look of the original game and the hi-tech nature of the product

 

The logo isn’t based on any existing font set; Studio Ant Works created it. While it resembles the letters from Triviador (Honfoglaló), it has a much more modern style. The studio crafted a playful and vibrant design filled with illustrations to make the game more engaging for students and easier for teachers to use.
